Chelsea has over 30 years of leadership experience combined in health & wellness, higher education, and senior living. Her background in oncology exercise, Parkinson’s disease, and traumatic brain injury led her into senior living and ultimately memory care.
As a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), Certified Dementia Care Manager (CDCM), Certified Dementia Support Group Facilitator (CDSGF), and Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer (CADDCT), Chelsea brings professional training that’s grounded in compassion, clarity, and real-life application.
Originally from Tennessee, Chelsea grew up surrounded by the Smoky Mountains, peaceful lakes, and the warmth of Southern culture. Those early experiences gave her a deep appreciation for nature’s calmness, healing, and quiet strength—qualities she carries into her approach to dementia care.
Chelsea believes deeply in the power of advocacy—to speak up, show up, and stand up for those we love and care for. “Let your voice be heard". Whether through education, consulting, or presenting, she uses her voice to amplify awareness and drive meaningful change in the world of dementia care.
Join us at the 2025 ICAA Conference and Expo in Anaheim, CA. Chelsea will be presenting: Partnership Ecosystem – A Guide to Dynamic Partnerships in Senior Living. Building authentic non-transactional partnerships is the key to addressing the challenges facing senior living today, from staffing shortages to limited programming budgets.
Chelsea serves as a memory care specialist and consultant in successful aging and memory care , helping organizations and individuals design more thoughtful, impactful approaches to aging well—focusing not just on cognitive decline, but on quality of life, purpose, and connection at every stage.
The Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar covers 14 dynamic modules designed to deepen your understanding and transform your approach to dementia care. This seminar equips you with practical tools, cultural awareness, and a person-centered mindset to provide exceptional, dignified care at every stage of the dementia journey.
From the foundational overview of dementia to the why behind what we do, each module explores key topics including compassionate communication, dementia-friendly environments, depression, sleep disturbances, delusions and hallucinations.
You'll learn how to respond to behavioral expressions, support safe mobility through wandering and fall prevention, and assist with ADLs. Sensitive topics like sexuality, intimacy, and abuse, neglect, and exploitation are approached with care and clarity.
We will dive into supporting families, engaging activities, building strong partnerships in care, embracing diversity, honoring spiritual and religious values, and providing compassionate end-of-life support.
